This is the luxurious pad that will serve as boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather’s home during his stay in Birmingham.

The planet’s richest athlete, who is booked for an after-dinner engagement in the city next month, will unwind in the five-star Genting Hotel’s glittering Presidential Suite, which comes with its own butler.

Those closely involved in the champ’s visit revealed details of the VIP accommodation, although the hotel, part of the Resorts World complex at the NEC, would neither confirm or deny Mayweather’s stay.

It is ultimate luxury at a high price with one night in the suite costing £1,000.

However that is chump change for multiple world champ Mayweather, whose net worth is estimated at $400 million.

Mayweather, from a Michigan fighting family, will meet his adoring public at the Vox Conference Centre on February 12, a night co-promoted by former Staffordshire heavyweight Scott Murray, Carl Cato and Spencer Brown.

It is the sole West Midlands date in an eight-leg UK tour that has already made headlines.

National newspapers have gone to town over reports that Floyd fans have forked out as much as £2,000 for a VIP platinum ticket to see their idol.

Those involved in the Birmingham event are remaining tight-lipped about Mayweather’s personal demands, but it has been discovered that the boxer, who retired last year with an unblemished 49-0 record, will be paid in excess of £70,000.

He will be accompanied by an entourage of up to 20 flunkies.

Staffordshire’s Scott is no stranger to rubbing shoulders with boxing’s best.

He has brought greats such as Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns and Roberto Duran to his own venue, the Premier Suite in his hometown of Cannock.

Mayweather, whose clash with fellow star Manny Pacquiao generated $300 million alone, announced his retirement from the ring in September.

In boxing circles, a return to the sport is expected sooner rather than later.

A champion in five different weight categories, Mayweather has a reputation for splashing the cash.

It was reported that he once tossed $100,000 dollars around a strip club as if it were confetti and regularly parted with $35,000 during shopping sprees.

So what can Mayweather expect from the Genting Presidential Suite?

  • A state-of-the art smart TV is the main feature of a wall to the left - here, you can glean all the information about the resort and order room service at the push of a button. There is also a TV screen built into the bathroom mirror. The wall also features a hi-tech tablet from where you can control the lights and air-conditioning throughout the suite.

  • There is a kitchen that leads off from the dining area, where chefs can perfect your private dining experience.

  • The views from the floor to ceiling bedroom window are dramatically impressive, bringing home the full scale of the lake.

  • All five-star guests receive a Genting Welcome, which includes butler-style service, with every need catered for.
