Murder inquiry launched over Carlton man’s death

Police have named a man whose body was found at a house in Carlton at the weekend.

The body of 58-year-old Anthony Fisher was discovered at his house in Coningswath Road shortly after 3pm on Saturday (9th January).

A murder inquiry has now been launched after a post mortem examination revealed he died as a result of injuries caused by stabbing.

No arrests have yet been made.

Detectives are appealing for information about any suspicious activity in Coningswath Road in the days before the discovery.
