Hero six-year-old saves young brother from fire

A six-year-old boy has been hailed a hero after raising an alarm about a fire and leading his young brother to safety.

Harley Robson from Kings Norton in Birmingham was visiting his grandma on Tuesday afternoon when he noticed there was an unusual smell in the flat.

When their grandmother Kim Daniels, 50, went to check the kitchen of her home, she was shocked to see a tea towel had caught fire.

Harley led his three-year-old brother Riley down the stairs to safety while Kim tried to deal with the fire.

She rang for the emergency services after becoming overwhelmed by the smoke and joined the youngsters outside.

Two fire engines from West Midlands Fire Service arrived on the scene and put out the fire.
