Firefighters cut man free from truck after horror smash with fence

A man who was trapped in his truck for an hour before being cut free through the roof managed to escape with minor injuries despite being involved in a serious crash.

His truck left the road before becoming impaled on a fence in a scaffolding yard in Shaw Road in Dudley, just before 8.40am.

Two fire engines and ten firefighters rushed to the scene to help him. They used cutting equipment to remove the roof from the car and get the man, believed to be in his fifties, to safety
