East Midlands Airport is expecting its busiest day of the holidays today, with more than 8000 passengers flying to and from the airport.

Top destinations for passengers flying from the airport are Tenerife, Dublin, Lanzarote, Alicante and Malaga.

Today alone, 8600 passengers are predicted to pass in and out of the airport. In total between Friday 18th December and Friday 4th January 2016 the airport is predicting 115,000 inbound and outbound passengers.
