Mother of Tunisia victim 'very emotional' as sports hall named after her son
The mother of a nineteen-year-old who was killed in the terror attack in Tunisia says it has been 'very emotional' to see a multi-million pound leisure centre named after him in his honour.
Football referee Joel Richards, died alongside his uncle and grandfather. His brother Owen, who survived the massacre, officially opened the Wednesbury Leisure Centre in a ceremony this morning.
Suzy Evans said it was 'lovely' to see such a tribute paid to her son, given his passion for sport.
She said it was 'bittersweet' and 'very emotional' to have Joel recognised and paid tribute to the person her son was.
