Police looking for truck driver who assaulted schoolgirl
Police are appealing for information to help trace a truck driver who assaulted a Black Country schoolgirl on Thursday.
The 13-year-old girl was in Harvest Road in Rowley Regis at around 8.15am when the man approached her, punched her in the face, knocking her to the floor and then tugged her by the hair.
It is understood her screams alerted passers-by and the man drove off in the vehicle towards Powke Lane cemetery.
West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image of the lorry in the hope someone might recognise it or provide important information.
The man is described as white, around 30 years old, 5ft 10ins tall, with short hair. He may have been wearing blue overalls. The distinctive flat-bed bed lorry was blue with a white cab.
Anyone with information should call CID on 101 (ext 812 3038) or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
