Bitter blow for Burton Albion as Hasselbaink departs
By James Clark
Burton Albion have suffered a bitter blow after their manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink left the club to become the new boss of Queen's Park Rangers.
The 43-year-old Dutchman only joined the Brewers just over a year ago and enjoyed a successful time at the Pirelli Stadium, during which Burton were promoted from League Two.
Jimmy's reign at Burton Albion:
Hasselbaink said leaving wasn't an easy decision, but that the QPR job was an opportunity he couldn't turn down.
He leaves Burton in a very healthy position for his successor - they are currently two points clear at the top of League One.
Burton's next fixture is away at Gillingham in the league on 12th December.
