Notts County star to launch Nottingham Trent University's women in sport campaign
England and Notts County Ladies goalkeeper Carly Telford will launch a campaign in the city later today to encourage women to get involved with sport.
The week-long programme by Nottingham Trent University's, dubbed 'Trent Girls Can', begins today and organisers are hoping it will encourage more girls and women in the region to participate in sport.
It's part of the national 'This Girl Can' campaign which celebrates active women around the UK and aims to boost female sporting participation.
The goalkeeper, who is a first-year student at Nottingham Trent University, will be on hand with coaching tips for students - who will then take part in a penalty shoot-out.
The week long celebration will involve a variety of different activities including badminton, Zumba, trampolining, volleyball, futsal and netball.
