A weekend of sleet, snow and sunshine
This weekend will have an early festive feel as we see sleet and snow falling from the skies. There won't be much settling on the ground. But, early on Saturday morning there could be some icy patches on the road because of the wintry showers and cold temperatures.
The wintry showers should clear eastwards by Saturday afternoon leaving it bright and sunny. However, we also have a strong northwesterly wind on Saturday, there is a weather warning in place across the Midlands and you can find out more here: WEATHER WARNING. The wind chill factor means although we have highs of around 4c it will feel more like 0/-1c.
So it will be a very cold weekend. As Sunday is similar to Saturday afternoon. As we get into the middle of next week temperatures will be milder.
