Ahead of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh's visit to Birmingham today, we look at her last major visits to the Midlands in 2014 and in 2012 as part of her Jubilee tour.

October 2014 - The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh visit Jaguar Land Rover in Wolverhampton.

July 2012 - The Queen visits RAF Cosford in Shropshire for her Diamond Jubilee Tour.

July 2012 - The Queen visits Birmingham as part of her Diamond Jubilee tour to officially open the Queen's University Hospital.

June 2012 - the Queen and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit Nottingham as part of the Diamond Jubilee tour.

March 2012 - The Queen greets the crowds in Leicester as she visits the city's Cathedral, which is now the final resting place of her ancestor Richard III.
