War memorial decorated with 1500 knitted poppies
Residents in a village near Walsall have come together to mark Remembrance Day in their own special way - by knitting their own display poppies.
Pelsall Village's war memorial clock has been turned red, covered in more than 1500 locally-knitted poppies.
The display was created by volunteers who took part in the local Royal British Legion's Big Poppy Knit.
The handiwork has been attracting quite a lot of attention - and raising quite a bit of money too, as people have been turning up to take photos of the display while donating to the appeal.
