Birmingham teachers head to Calais refugee camp this weekend
A delegation of 10 teachers has travelled from Birmingham to France this weekend to create educational resources for refugees in Calais.
The teachers aim to create educational resources for schools in Britain about the reality of life for the refugees in Calais and to provide educational resources and supplies to the refugees.
They hope to work closely with the temporary school and library which has been set up in the camp.
The visit is a collaboration between the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and Stand Up To Racism Birmingham (SUTR).
