Arrests following death of man in Hanley

Police are appealing for information after a man was found unconscious in Hanley in the early hours of this morning.

They were called to a disturbance at Indi Vidual Bar on Trinity Street in Hanley at around 1am. Officers discovered an unconscious man who was treated at the scene but sadly died at hospital a short time later.

The man's family have been informed and he has been formally identified. Police say he was 29 and from the Sutton Coldfield area.

The death is being treated as unexplained and detectives are currently investigating. A number of arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
