Birmingham has become the fastest growing regional tourist destination across the UK, according to the STEAM report by Global Tourism Solutions.
The city attracted a record 37.2 million visitors last year, an increase of almost 10%.
The boost in visitor numbers contributed almost £6 billion to the economy.
The growth in figures resulted in the creation of nearly 5,000 local jobs.
