Police investigate after woman tied up and robbed in her own home

Police are investigating after a 62-year-old woman was tied up and robbed in her own house in Shirley Common, near Ashbourne in Derbyshire.

The incident took place shortly before 8pm on Saturday when three men in balaclavas attacked her.

During the attack, the victim was tied up and has suffered a suspected spinal injury. She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Police are exploring possible links to a similar incident in Ednaston last month.
