One of the soldiers, Lt Col Stewart Hill, is from Draycott. He suffered a traumatic brain injury in Afghanistan in July 2009.

Stewart told his colleagues that he will get the best reception of all four Brits when they visit their homes. The village say they're determined not to let him down and today hundreds turned out to greet them.

The Draycott Village Fund said they decked the village out with lots of Union Flags and gave out more hand flags as the soldiers walk down the streets.

Local bands, drummers and pipers turned up to welcome the six soldiers along the route.

The walk started in Edinburgh and ends in November, at Buckingham Palace. The route includes the home towns or villages of each of the four British Soldiers.
