Kitten 'thrown onto motorway' in terrifying ordeal
A kitten is recovering at an animal rescue centre after he was believed to have been thrown from a vehicle on the M54.
The grey tabby - which has been called Highway - was found cowering beneath a barrier on Junction 4 near Shifnal in Shropshire on 26 September by workers from the Highways Agency.
He was taken to the RSPCA's Gonsal Farm Animal Centre in Dorrington, where vets found injuries to his mouth and feet.
Vets said Highway is neutered and microchipped, but have had no success in tracing his owner.
Rebecca Emeny, manager of Gonsal Farm, said:
Anyone with information on Highway should call the RSPCA’s appeals line in confidence on 0300 123 8018.
