Kevin Beresford from Redditch believes there are "zen qualities" to roundabouts.

The 63-year-old, who is founder of the Roundabout Appreciation Society, is about to embark on his most ambitious project yet - a 2016 "Roundabouts of the World" calendar.

It will feature man-made islands from Australia, New Zealand, the States, South America and Europe.

Since 2003, divorced Kevin has spotted over 1,000 roundabouts, not including the one's that he's he simply came across while travelling from A to B.

Antoine de Caunes, former presenter of risque ‘90s show Eurotrash, travelled to Birmingham to meet Kevin, a man who recently featured in a “Dull Men of Great Britain” guide - an honour Kevin is proud of.

Roundabout enthusiasts all over the world have submitted photos of their favourite highway structures for the calendar.

The mayor of Hobart, Tasmania, was so taken with his city’s inclusion, he’s ordered £200 worth of the calendars.

Only one UK specimen makes it onto the pages of Kevin’s calendar, the truly British bump in the road at Otford, Kent.

“It’s so quintessentially English, there’s an historic duck pond on it”, said Kevin.

However it's not Kevin’s UK favourite.

He’s taken by Rotherham’s Corn Law roundabout, an unlikely tribute to Ebenezer Elliott.

Known as the Corn Law rhymer, he led the fight to crush the agricultural legislation.
