Eighty-nine eye-catching owl sculptures which have been dotted around Birmingham for the last ten weeks will be removed after Sunday, meaning that this weekend is the last chance to see them in public.

The 'Big Hoot' project has seen the individually designed sculptures placed around Birmingham and the surrounding region along a 94-mile trail.

For those who haven't managed to see some of the owls situated further afield, all eighty nine birds will be collected together for a final time at a special 'Farewell Weekend' on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October.

The whole collection will be on show to the public at Birmingham’s Eastside City Park, next to Millennium Point.

Tickets can be purchased from here and cost £4 per adult, £2 per child or £10 for a family of four. Children under five years old can enter for free. All profits from the ticket sales will go to Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

There will then be a charity auction at Thinktank science museum on Thursday 15 October to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

The bidding for each owl is expected to start in the region of £3,000-£5,000, with favourites such as Dr Whoot and Ozzy’s Owl expected to raise considerably more.
