MPs overwhelmingly reject Assisted Dying Bill
By James Clark
A controversial and emotional issue was discussed in parliament today - should assisted dying be legal in the UK?
Earlier MPs overwhelmingly rejected a bill which would have allowed doctors to help some terminally ill people end their lives.
The Bishop of Worcester opposes assisted dying saying people who are terminally ill may fear they become a "burden" on their loved ones, which may prompt some to end their life.
The Bill was introduced by the MP for Wolverhampton South West, who says people should be offered a "choice".
