Retired pilot's name was originally listed to fly plane that crashed at Airshow
A pilot from Stanford who was due to be flying the Hawker Hunter jet which crashed at the Choreham Airshow said he was "horrified" when he learned of the tragedy.
Retired RAF Squadron leader, Chris Heames, was originally listed in the programme as flying the 1950's plane at the West Sussex show.
A family holiday meant that his place was taken up by ex-RAF and British Airways pilot, Andy Hill.
Mr Heames returned from a three week trip to Cambodia to his home in Stanford, Lincolnshire, on Monday morning.
Mr Heames, 62, joined the RAF after leaving school in 1970 and has approximately 13,500 total flying hours.
