Wolverhampton Wanderers

First game of the 2015/16 season: Blackburn Rovers (A)

2014/15 position: 7th (78 points)

Wolverhampton Wanderers can be proud of what they achieved last season. After relegation from the Championship in 2012/13, to coming straight back up the season after, finishing 7th last season was certainly a consolidating performance worthy of celebration. Many fans would have also felt a sense of bad luck after they missed out on a shot of the playoffs by a mere four goals. Nevertheless it was a confident season that the club and fans should be happy with, and one that has produced a foundation for the campaign ahead.

Kenny Jackett has been in charge of Wolves for two years now and continues to take his side from strength to strength.

After winning League One in 2013/14 and finishing just outside the Championship playoffs last season, the club will be eyeing further success this time round.

Promotion to the Premier League would be a massive ask, but after Wolves' performance over the past 24 months, it's a test that all at the club will be aiming to achieve.

Wolves travel to Blackburn Rovers tomorrow to kick off their 2015/16 season. They beat them on both occasions last season so the fans will be expecting three points to open the season.
