Thousands expected as Robin Hood Festival opens at Sherwood Forest
Thousands of people are expected to descend on Sherwood Forest as the 31st annual Robin Hood Festival gets underway.
The week long festival, held in Nottingham, is the largest celebration of the UK's most famous outlaw.
The festival offers a range of medieval activities including jousting, archery and medieval crafts.

This year's festival features a guest appearance from actor Phil Rose who is best known for his role as Friar Tuck in the hit TV programme "Robin Hood of Sherwood."
