A Birmingham-based company that provides diamond-encrusted footwear has welcomed Beyonce to its customer base.

The "Crazy in Love" star will wear a pair of House of Borgezie Princess Constellation stilettos, costing a £200,000, for her next video.

And added to this will be the company’s gem-studded, gold basque belt – an accessory some will consider a “waist” - at £55,000.

The company, set up eight years ago in Birmingham's prestigious Jewellery Quarter, crafts gold and platinum shoes with a price tag that would make even WAGS buckle.

The Princess Constellation stilettos feature 1,290 precious stones.

Beyonce's representatives approached the House of Borgezie months ago after they spotted an article in the American press.

Company owner Chris Shellis, from Eccleshall, confirmed the sale to the Sunday Mercury this week and said he had been told the shoes would feature in the video due out this autumn.

He launched the Constellation collection last May and, to date, two pairs have been sold. One purchaser lives in Dubai.

The shoes come with a lifetime guarantee and purchasers have their feet moulded in plaster of Paris.
