Glenfield Children's Heart Surgery Unit 'will survive'

Managers at Glenfield Hospital say the children's heart surgery unit 'will survive' and remain open after it was threatened with closure.

A review by NHS England had recommended the service in Leicester was shut down, in a highly controversial review which has now been overturned.

The unit will have to make a series of changes, including increasing the number of surgeons from two to four.
