Thousands across the Midlands stand still in memory of Tunisia beach attack victims

Thousands of people across the West Midlands stood still in a national minute's silence at noon today to remember those killed in the Tunisian terror attack.

At Walsall's Banks's Stadium, fans, staff and players paid their respects to three fellow supporters from one West Midlands family killed in last week's beach attack.

Joel Richards, his uncle Adrian Evans and grandfather Charles Evans were among 30 Britons killed in Sousse.

At Friday prayers in Birmingham's Central mosque today more than 6,000 Muslims reflected in silence on the massacre in Sousse.

Meanwhile the bodies of more victims of the attacks were returned home today.

Coffins bearing the bodies of Sue Davey from Tamworth, her partner Scott Chalkley from Derby and Angie and Ray Fisher from Leicester arrived back in the UK onboard an RAF plane.
