Former TOWIE star Amy Childs launches beauty academy at Stafford College
Beauty and fashion entrepreneur, Amy Childs, is launching an academy to deliver beauty courses in a partnership with Stafford college this afternoon.
Amy, who first came into the spotlight on ITV's The Only Way is Essex, has designed the Amy Child's Academy to allow students to learn the best practise directly from the beauty industry.
The Academy will provide the latest equipment, create work experience opportunities and for the first time, deliver tanning units as part of the course.
24-year-old Amy is estimated to be worth in excess of £10 million and has a business empire conspiring of two clothing stores, a beauty salon, a tanning academy, and her own line of beauty and tanning products.
Amy first discussed the possibility of opening the academy in January this year when she visited Stafford college to launch a beauty enterprise task to students with The Entrepreneurial Education Group.
The Academy will be based in the Riverbank Building which opened in 2012 and cost £14 million to build.
It will be restocked with Amy's products and staff will also benefit from the partnership through training.
