Ricoh Arena hosts British Weightlifting Championships

Male and female weightlifters and para-powerlifting competitors are at the Ricoh Arena.

Male and female weightlifters and para-powerlifting competitors are at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry for the 2015 British Championships.

The two-day event which debuted at the venue last year plays host to 117 athletes and a record number of spectators, as the largest venue ever to be used by British Weight Lifting.

Spectators are sure to be impressed this weekend with the current Commonwealth Games Gold medallist Zoe Smith and the youngest ever British Senior Champion Rebekah Tiler competing.

As well as Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Ben Watson and Olympian, British and English Champion Jack Oliver also in attendance.

The para-powerlifting competition will also feature the current IPC World Champion and record holder Ali Jawad, Invictus Games gold medallist Micky Yule and the four-time Paralympian Natalie Blake.
