Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are on the lookout for potential local 'heroes' who may be interested in becoming a fire-fighter.

Nine fire stations across the county are searching for new retained firefighters and are encouraging people who are keen to promote safer communities to get involved.

The individuals will receive the appropriate training to enable them to attend incidents as part of the operational team.

Events are being held at individual fire stations. Anyone who is interested in becoming involved should call the NFRS HR department on 0115 967 5850.
