Police issue warning over escaped 6ft tall ostrich-like bird

Nottinghamshire Police have issued a warning to local people after a large ostrich-like bird was reported missing in north Nottinghamshire yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called when the bird went missing from a private collection in Carlton-in-Lindrick, near Worksop.

The bird is understood to have gone missing between 5pm on Monday 22 June and 12pm on Tuesday 23 June 2015.

There have been no reported sightings of the bird so far.
