So why the new set for ITV News Central ?

All change on the studio floor at ITV News Central

If you've been watching our bulletins today, you will have noticed by now that things have changed a bit round here. We moved in earlier today and as with any new home, we're still settling in - but we have to say we're pretty chuffed with it !

It's bigger, brighter, and the technology is bang up-to-date. Our transformation team has worked extremely hard to get it ready.

They say a change is as good as a rest, but there's been no time to sit around for our team of designers and constructors. They've been busy transforming our studio to bring you our brand new look.

It's all new to us - but it'll be familiar to you - it's been created to complement the set of the ITV National News but with the local touches you've come to expect.

Mind you, that's been a technically challenging task in itself !

We've lost count of exactly how many makeovers we've had - but telly enthusiast website TV Ark has documented lots of our changes over the years - see how many you can remember from above and our other new-set stories online today !

TV Ark contributor Lee Bannister can recall most of those former sets - and he's had a sneak preview of our latest look.

We're sure you'll like our new home too and of course we'll continue to bring you the best in regional news - but now...we've got the lights, we've got the cameras, all we need now is the action....cue the presenters !
