'Boy racer' pair put behind bars for killing father in head-on crash
Two men from Nottinghamshire are behind bars after what a judge called "one of the worse cases of dangerous driving he'd ever seen".
George Allen and Callum Leach from Newark admitted causing the death of father Craig Cooke when his car was hit head-on in Beacon Hill in December 2013.
Leach (21) was jailed for nine years while Allen (19) received nine years in a youth detention centre. Both pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving.
Craig Cooke (25), from North Tyneside was killed when his Xsara Picasso people carrier was hit by Allen's Ford Fiesta, which was travelling in the opposite direction, as he drove home to spend Christmas with his family on December 23, 2013.
