Gordon Banks statue unveiled at Stoke City HQ

A statue of one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time has been unveiled at the Britannia Stadium in Stoke.

The life-size bronze sculpture depicts Gordon Banks lifting the the Jules Rimet World Cup trophy at Wembley in 1966.

It was unveiled by Stoke-on-Trent Lord Mayor Majid Khan and former Stoke City and England teammate George Eastham OBE today ahead of the Liverpool game.

It comes just days after Gordon Banks OBE was granted the freedom of the city of Stoke-on-Trent.
