New Princess boosts Royal Crown Derby sales

Royal Crown Derby has reported a surge in sales in its latest Royal Baby collection, less than 24 hours after it went on sale.

The collection is manufactured entirely at the company’s Osmaston Road factory in Derby.

The first online sale was made just minutes after the collection was listed at 11:40am, after the birth of the Princess was announced.

Web traffic spiked as orders followed from around the world.

At present the most popular products are the Rocking Horse, the Teddy Bib Bear and the Five-Petal Tray.

Royal Crown Derby say they are expecting a clearer picture to emerge over the next few days, but are thrilled by the initial response.
