Britain’s current electoral processes and the organisation of government are a mess and are a major cause of disenchantment with politics. We desperately need a new constitution to include the devolution of power and a voting system that ensures that every vote counts.

What is the most important issue facing your constituents?

I want to see a fairer society where an excellent education is available to every child, a vibrant local economy with job opportunities, and a housing market that enables the young to have the advantages of home ownership currently enjoyed by their parents
