Milk float theft suspect threatened with Taser
A suspected milk float thief was threatened with a Taser after a milkman’s van was snatched during his early-morning rounds today.
The float was stolen in Shirley High Street near Solihull as its driver tried desperately to cling onto it at 2.30am.
Police found it six miles away in Small Heath 20 minutes later after the milkman dialled 999.
A 39-year-old was arrested on suspicion of theft after being ‘red dotted’ with a Taser, meaning the device was aimed and activated but not fired.
