Who is the living person you most admire?

Pope Francis because in a humble way he is setting an example of practical Christianity for all of us to follow - and he makes mistakes so he’s human too!

What is your favourite TV programme?

Grands Designs is my favourite programme particularly when they show how to build more greenly.

What song would you take with you to a desert island?

Bridge Over Troubled Waters, sung by Simon and Garfunkel - its “our song”.

What new law do you want to introduce?

A 2 for 1 Law. To pass one law you must take two laws off the statute book.

What is the most important issue facing your constituents?

The Health Service. When our new QE Hospital is overloaded a couple of years after opening something must be very wrong.
