Who is the living person you most admire?

Sue Lawton, a great friend of mine who received an MBE last year for tirelessly promoting the cause of women entrepreneurs, including on the business network WeConnect Europe and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Enterprise.

What is your favourite TV programme?

I’ve really enjoyed Peaky Blinders – it’s about time the Midlands gets the recognition it deserves in TV drama – even if some of the actors’ accents are a bit… well… peaky!

What song would you take with you to a desert island?

I’m a huge fan of Labi Siffre’s – so probably Something Inside so Strong.

What new law do you want to introduce?

I would like to see guaranteed standards of care for those suffering from dementia.

What is the most important issue facing your constituents?

Our NHS. I’ve secured the return of ambulances and a promise of more mental health hospital beds. But there is much more I want to do.
