Sandstorm in the Sahara: 'Blind Dave' Heeley takes on the Marathon Des Sables

He was the first - and only - blind person to run 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents.

Then, the first and only blind person to run and cycle across the country from John O'Groats to Lands End in 10 days.

Now, father-of-three Dave Heeley from West Bromwich is going for ANOTHER first!

Dave, affectionately nicknamed 'Blind Dave', is taking on the Moroccan Sahara Desert in what's arguably the toughest foot race on earth - the Marathon Des Sables. He is raising money for the West Bromwich Albion Foundation and has so far raised more than £20,000.
