Fire-hit Nottingham student flats set for demolition
Fire-damaged parts of Radford's student accommodation are going to be demolished later today.
Firefighters are working with engineers to carry out a 'controlled demolition', after a fire began at the building on Player Street in Nottingham on Monday night.
The fire service says it is taking advice about whether other parts of the building may need to be torn down too.
Around 60 firefighters are still dealing with the fire, and crews from Nottinghamshire have been joined by colleagues from Derbyshire and Leicestershire fire and rescue services.
Several roads remain closed around the scene and firefighters are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
