Former social worker charged with sexual offences at children's home
A former social worker has been charged with several sexual offences alleged to have taken place at a children's home in Nottinghamshire in the 1980s.
Andy Logins, from Arnold, is charged with four counts of rape of a female under 16, two counts of rape of a female over 16, nine counts of indecent assault on a girl under 16, and one count of assault / neglect / causing a young person unnecessary suffering / injury against a 16-year-old boy.
The offences are alleged to have taken place at Beechwood children’s home in 1984 against three victims, where Logins was a registered social worker.
The charges follow an investigation led by Operation Daybreak officers into abuse at Beechwood children's home and a number of other children’s homes in Nottingham.
Logins, 56, will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 28 April.
