Jaguar Land Rover is to double the size of its operations at its headquarters in Coventry.

The expansion in Whitley means its base will increase from 55 to 117 acres - an expansion of more than 30 football pitches.

It is not yet clear how many jobs will be created.

The company is expected to use the site to expand its research and advanced engineering.

Coventry City Council says the announcement ensures the economic regeneration of Whitley and across Coventry.
