Dilshan signs for Derbyshire
Derbyshire County Cricket Club has announced that Sri Lanka international Tillakaratne Dilshan has signed for the club as its overseas player for the 2015 season.
The batsman is currently a key part of Sri Lanka's squad competing in the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Dilshan will be available for up to four T20 Blast matches and two County Championship games in June, before he heads to play in the Caribbean Premier League.
The former Sri Lanka captain will then return at the beginning of August to pay for Derbyshire for the rest of the season.
Dilshan's international record:
5,492 runs
40.98 average
193 is his highest score.
9,796 runs scored
at an average of 39.82
with a highest scores of 161n.o.
Dilshan also has an impressive T20 record, scoring more than 5,000 runs, and he was an important part of the 2014 ICC World Twenty20-winning Sri Lanka side.
Cricket fans will also have heard of the 'Dilscoop' - an ambitious shot recognised as one Dilshan developed - where the batsman crouches down and flicks the ball over their own head, and over the wicketkeeper.
