One Direction star Liam Payne hits back at suggestions he is drinking heavily

One Direction star Liam Payne has hit back at suggestions he is drinkingheavily - saying he drinks no more than other people his age.

Payne, 21, was responding to suggestions made in an online article that hecould be drinking a lot, describing the report as "out of order".

In a series of tweets, the Wolverhampton-born singer said he does not drink any more than auniversity student and said he should not be treated "any different to a normal boy my age".

He said that when he is not on stage he spends his time playingvideo games and going to the gym.

He tweeted at the Inquisitr Showbiz account and then apologised to hisfollowers for "the rant".
