New recruits will be joining the force for the first time following a five year freeze.

The 82 new recruits are starting at their local stations across the force area this morning.

They were able to advertise for new officer roles last year for the first time since 2010.

Overall the force looked to take on 450 new recruits to help bolster their ranks.
