The Red Arrows have unveiled a new Union flag design on their jets.

The RAF's Aerobatic team, based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, are seen by millions of people each year during displays all over the world.

The team say the tail-fins on the Hawk aircraft have had the fresh look to reflect 'British excellence'.

It was originally put on to the jets last year to mark the 50th season replacing the three-stripe livery used since the 1960s.

But instead of returning to the old design, the new one will be kept. The team are currently training for the 2015 season which begins in May.
