Mayor plans to sue Fox News over Paris comments

The Mayor of Paris has told CNN News she plans to sue Fox News over its reporting on the city following the terrorist attacks on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Mayor Anne Hidalgo was responding to comments made on the television news channel that there were "no-go zones" in Paris for non-muslims.

In a separate incident, Steven Emerson, a "terrorism expert' on Fox News, said Birmingham was a city where "non-Muslims simply don't go".

Prime Minister David Cameron told ITV News that Emerson was "clearly an idiot" following his comments.

Emerson and Foxes News have since apologised for the comments about Birmingham.
