'Bad personal hygiene' results in a Birmingham library ban

Three people have been banned from Birmingham’s library for having ‘personal hygiene issues’, according to a Freedom of Information Act.

Two others have been banned from the £189 million pound building for indecent exposure and another three for aggressive behaviour towards staff.

Library bosses say despite repeated warnings, some people have refused to change their behaviour – and have been banned from using the city's libraries entirely.

They say the number of people banned is very low, given the usage of these facilities across the city
