Hurry - the deadline for Pride of Britain 2014 is fast approaching!
The deadline is fast approaching for you to submit your nomination for the Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards, in association with ITV. The awards celebrate the achievements of truly remarkable people who make our world a better place.
The winners are from all walks of life, of all ages, and from all over the country. Their achievements are awe-inspiring and a lesson to us all. They say they are ordinary people, but their acts are truly extraordinary.
Hosted by Carol Vorderman each Autumn, the Awards attract an audience of around five million viewers every year in a primetime slot on ITV - making it the highest rated awards show of its kind on British television.
How to nominate someone
Who's your unsung hero or heroine? Who do you think is so inspiring they deserve to be recognised with a Pride of Britain award? They can be of any age, from any walk of life and from any part of the United Kingdom, but the one thing they must be is extraordinary.
Perhaps you know a child or adult who has displayed remarkable courage, a gutsy neighbour who has improved your area, a tireless charity fundraiser or an exemplary teacher. People who go that extra mile.

All nominations must be received by midnight on Friday 15th August 2014 to be considered for the 2014 awards ceremony. Anything received following this date will be considered for the 2015 awards.
Award Categories
OUTSTANDING BRAVERY - To recognise an individual who has put themselves in danger to help or save the life of another.
CHILD OR TEENAGER OF COURAGE - To recognise a child or teenager who has put themselves in danger to help or save the life of another or has battled against the odds.
LIDL'S YOUNG FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR - To recognise a child or teenager, under the age of 16, who has gone beyond all expectations to raise money for a good cause, however large or small the amount.
ITV LOCAL FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR - To recognise a tireless charity fundraiser. Open to all over 16.
GOOD MORNING BRITAIN LOCAL HERO OF THE YEAR - To recognise an individual who has improved the lives of those around them in their community.
EMERGENCY SERVICES - To recognise a member or members of the police, fire, ambulance, coastguard, mountain and sea rescue services who have gone beyond the call of duty.
TEACHER OF THE LIFE- To recognise a truly inspiring teacher in primary or secondary education. Can be state or private.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT - To recognise an individual whose achievements have been far-reaching, possibly on a national or international level.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION: o recognise individuals who the judging panel consider to be Pride of Britain, but whose achievements do not fit into other categories. Examples include inspiring campaigners, members of the armed forces who have helped others, carers and volunteers.
So if you know anyone who you thinks deserves national recognition for something special they've done, remember the deadline is MIDNIGHT ON AUGUST 15th.
